**Monday, 12/11**

Students completed a warm up (posted in Google Classroom). We then took notes on Percents, Fractions, and Decimals and noticed their relationships. We began a few practice problems converting fractions to percents, fractions to decimals, percents to fractions, percents to decimals, decimals to fractions, and decimals to percents. We'll continue working on that practice paper tomorrow.

Students looked at their STAR data and recorded it onto their STAR Math Data chart that we keep in class. We then continued practicing completing ratio tables and graphing them.

**Thursday, 11/30**

Students checked their grades and missing work in their classes and made plans of action for how to raise their grades and complete the missing work. We then went over some of the harder questions on their Practice Tests from their core Math class.

**Friday, 12/1**

Students worked on Math Facts in a Flash for a few minutes. We then reviewed concepts from Ch. 1 (see slide show below) in preparation for the Ch. 1 Math Test in their core Math classes.

Students filled out a Grade Check form today when the signed into Aeries to check their grades and missing work for their classes. We then finished the ratio tables practice sheet from yesterday.

I showed the students how to use the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) to reduce fractions, and they completed a few problems on their whiteboards. We then practiced Least Common Multiple (LCM) and GCF problems using the slide deck below.

Mr. Stevens, our assistant principal, came to our class today to help students create Aeries accounts and check their grades.

We went over yesterdays Absolute Value addition and subtraction practice sheet. Students turned it in. We then learned about Comparing and Ordering Integers and completed a few practiced problems. Students need to finish it for homework if not finished in class. We will go over it tomorrow.

We went over the Comparing and Ordering Integers classwork from yesterday, and students turned it in. We then played a Comparing Integers and an Ordering Integers game (links in Google Classroom).

**Thursday, 10/19**

Students completed a Warm Up in Google Classroom. We then working on Graphing Integers. Students who did not finish in class took it home for homework.

**Friday, 10/20 - Minimum Day**

I collected the Graphing Integers classwork from yesterday. We will go over it on Monday. Students were divided into groups and played an Integer Sorting Activity.

We completed a Warm Up in Google Classroom. We then had a lesson on Dividing a Fraction by a Fraction and took notes in our notebooks. Finally, we completed some practice problems.

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. We then spent the class reviewing: converting improper fractions to mixed numbers, converting mixed numbers to improper fractions, dividing a whole number by a fraction, dividing a fraction by a whole number, and dividing a fraction by a fraction. Students completed the Dividing with Fractions Quiz. They then had a little bit of time to work on Math Facts in a Flash or Math homework questions for me.

**Thursday, 10/12**

Students received their graded Division with Fractions Quiz. We went over each problem while students took notes on only the ones they missed.

We had a lesson on integers and how to plot them on a number line. Then we practiced a few problems together.

**Friday, 10/13**

We completed a warm up in Google Classroom. We then had a lesson on Absolute Value and took notes in our notebooks. We then practiced a few problems.

We looked over Friday's Fraction Quiz and answered any questions about it. Please look this over with your child, and talk about ways to improve scores in class: paying attention, being on task, participating, asking questions, seeking help outside of class (before school, at lunch, during PAW, after school), looking up online practice, etc.

We then did a lesson on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and completed some practice problems on it.

We talked about way to improve their scores in Math: pay attention during instructions and lessons, follow along, participate, ask questions, do extra practice, etc. Please look over your child's Division Quiz and talk about way to improve scores in the future. We then went over each problem together; the students wrote down and showed work for their missed problems.

We then looked at last Friday's independent assignment and discovered that we need to continue working on comparing 2 decimals, ordering 3 decimals, and adding/subtracting decimals (out to the hundredths place). We listened to 2 videos on the Google Classroom assignment "Comparing Decimals" and then did whiteboard work with comparing 2 decimals.

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. Students listened to a video and completed an activity on the Google Classroom assignment "Ordering Decimals" and then did whiteboard work with ordering 3 decimals.
