**Monday, 10/9**

We completed a Warm Up in Google Classroom. We then had a lesson on Dividing a Fraction by a Fraction and took notes in our notebooks. Finally, we completed some practice problems.

**Tuesday, 10/10**

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. We then spent the class reviewing: converting improper fractions to mixed numbers, converting mixed numbers to improper fractions, dividing a whole number by a fraction, dividing a fraction by a whole number, and dividing a fraction by a fraction. Quiz tomorrow!

**Wednesday, 10/11**

Students completed the Dividing with Fractions Quiz. They then had a little bit of time to work on Math Facts in a Flash or Math homework questions for me.

**Thursday, 10/12**

Students received their graded Division with Fractions Quiz. We went over each problem while students took notes on only the ones they missed.

We had a lesson on integers and how to plot them on a number line. Then we practiced a few problems together.

**Friday, 10/13**

We completed a warm up in Google Classroom. We then had a lesson on Absolute Value and took notes in our notebooks. We then practiced a few problems.

**Monday, 10/2**

We looked over Friday's Fraction Quiz and answered any questions about it. Please look this over with your child, and talk about ways to improve scores in class: paying attention, being on task, participating, asking questions, seeking help outside of class (before school, at lunch, during PAW, after school), looking up online practice, etc.

We then did a lesson on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and completed some practice problems on it.

Students took the September STAR Math Test. They will get their results tomorrow, and a report will go home for a parent signature (due Thurs.).

We looked at STAR data from yesterday's test. Then we finished a practice page on adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators (see button above from Monday).

Students completed a warm up in Google Classroom. We then took notes on "Division with Decimals in the Divisor" in our notebooks and completed a few practice problems.

**Tuesday, 9/19**

Students completed a Division Review in class. We went over the answers, and students took notes on areas of improvement to help them study for tomorrow's quiz.

Students completed their Division Quiz.

**Thursday, 9/21**

Students received their graded Division Quiz from yesterday. We talked about way to improve their scores in Math: pay attention during instructions and lessons, follow along, participate, ask questions, do extra practice, etc. Please look over your child's Division Quiz and talk about way to improve scores in the future. We then went over each problem together; the students wrote down and showed work for their missed problems.

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. We then discussed and took notes on Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators. Students completed a set of practice problems and we went over them together (see button below).

Students received last Friday's quiz to see how they did. We took time to answer any questions about problems that were missed that they still had questions about. We then took notes in our notebooks on Long Division (with no remainders) and practiced a few problems on grid paper.

We completed a warm up (in Google Classroom). Then we partnered up to work on review problems from yesterday - division with no remainders. We then started taking notes on division with remainders as fractions in our notebooks.

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. They then completed a warm up (in Google Classroom) and took notes on division with remainders as fractions in their notebooks.

**Thursday, 9/14**

Students practiced Math fluency in Math Facts in a Flash in Ren Place. We then added an example and model to yesterday's notes on division with remainders as fractions in their notebooks. Students worked through a couple of division problems on their whiteboards with me and then worked with a partner to complete more.

**Friday, 9/15**

Students completed a warm up (in Google Classroom). They then took notes on division with decimals in the dividend and practiced a few problems on whiteboards.

Beginning today, students will earn a point each day for class participation (being on task and actively participating). This will count toward their Participation grade in our class which is 30% of their grade.

We practiced Math fluency in Math Facts in a Flash in Ren Place. We then looked at last Friday's independent assignment and discovered that we need to continue working on comparing 2 decimals, ordering 3 decimals, and adding/subtracting decimals (out to the hundredths place). We listened to 2 videos on the Google Classroom assignment "Comparing Decimals" and then did whiteboard work with comparing 2 decimals.

**Wednesday, 9/6**

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. Students listened to a video and completed an activity on the Google Classroom assignment "Ordering Decimals" and then did whiteboard work with ordering 3 decimals.

**Thursday, 9/7**

Students practiced Math fluency on Math Facts in a Flash in Ren Place. They then completed a Google Classroom assignment - "Adding and Subtracting Decimals" - in which they watched two videos and practiced a few online problems. We then practiced on whiteboards.

**Friday, 9/8**

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. We then reviewed for the Decimal Quiz and I answered any questions the students still had. Then we took the quiz. Students will know their results on Monday.
