Students worked on aleks.com for about 10 minutes today. We then did a fraction review for many fraction standards. For the last few minutes of class, we played a multiplication game - "I Have/Who Has."

Students reflected on their 6th grade year by filling out a Google Form (in Google Classroom). We talked about their highs and their lows of the year.

**Thursday, 5/31**

Students filled out a teacher report card for me (in Google Classroom). They then played a game called "Guess Who" to see how well they knew each other.

Students reviewed 6th grade Math standards using games in Google Classroom. They then continued playing the game they started yesterday called "Guess Who" to see how well they know each other.

Students worked on a Mystery Fraction (in Google Classroom). They then worked on aleks.com for about 10 minutes. We reviewed adding and subtracting integers (positive and negative numbers), and then students were able to try out a game (in Google Classroom) where they practiced the same skill.

Students did one last grade check before grades close, and then they had the rest of class to work on missing work from their classes.

We returned our English and Science textbooks to the library. Students then practiced adding and subtracting integers (positive and negative numbers) with a couple of games in Google Classroom.

Students took their last STAR Math test of the year! Early finishers worked on missing work from other classes or AR.

Students worked on aleks.com for about 10 minutes. This allows them to work on standards that they need practice on at their own levels. They then practiced fraction standards from 6th grade. For the last few minutes of class we played "I Have/Who Has" to practice multiplication facts.

Students tried out the aleks program now that they finished their Knowledge Checks. It looks like a neat program that will give them practice in skills they need practice in. We then tried out a few Mystery Fractions.

We had a 2 hour 44 minute block today. We did many activities, such as: a Mystery Fraction, a Gallery Walk, Math Facts in a Flash, and a 6th grade math review game. We even got a head start on the ELA state test.

**Wednesday, 5/9**

We had another 2 hour 44 minute block today. We spent an hour on the ELA state test (some of the students worked on the Math state test if they needed to work on it if they Math during periods 1 or 2). The students tried out a Mystery Fraction, completed another Gallery Walk, played a 6th grade review game, and tried out a Math game called Quizizz.

We then looked at and took notes on Order of Operations using the acronym PEMDAS - Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction ("Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally"). After that, we practiced a few problems.

Students looked at their STAR Math data and recorded the data onto their logs that they keep in class. They reflected on what went well and what didn't go well during the test. The reports are going home tonight for a parent signature (due tomorrow).

We then checked our Monday practice of converting fractions, decimals, and percents with a partner and then as a class. We took notes in our notebooks about a couple of tricks to use when converting decimals to percents and percents to decimals.

Students were given a practice sheet similar to the one we've been working on for the last two days - Fractions, Decimals, & Percents. I'm using it like an assessment to see what they know and don't know. We graded it in class.

**Wednesday, 10/25**We discussed their STAR results and students recorded their data on their STAR Math data charts that we keep in the classroom. We then reviewed coordinate planes and plotting points on them.

**Thursday, 10/26**Students completed 10 minutes of Math Facts in a Flash. We then went over yesterday's coordinate plane classwork and turned it in. We had a lesson on Greatest Common Factor, took notes in our notebooks, and started practice problems. We will finish it tomorrow in class.

Students completed a warm up in Google Classroom. We then reviewed Absolute Value and practiced adding and subtracting with Absolute Value. Students need to finish it for homework if not finished in class.

We went over yesterdays Absolute Value addition and subtraction practice sheet. Students turned it in. We then learned about Comparing and Ordering Integers and completed a few practiced problems. Students need to finish it for homework if not finished in class. We will go over it tomorrow.

We went over the Comparing and Ordering Integers classwork from yesterday, and students turned it in. We then played a Comparing Integers and an Ordering Integers game (links in Google Classroom).

**Thursday, 10/19**

Students completed a Warm Up in Google Classroom. We then working on Graphing Integers. Students who did not finish in class took it home for homework.

**Friday, 10/20 - Minimum Day**

I collected the Graphing Integers classwork from yesterday. We will go over it on Monday. Students were divided into groups and played an Integer Sorting Activity.

We completed a Warm Up in Google Classroom. We then had a lesson on Dividing a Fraction by a Fraction and took notes in our notebooks. Finally, we completed some practice problems.

Students completed individualized timed fluency practice sheets. We then spent the class reviewing: converting improper fractions to mixed numbers, converting mixed numbers to improper fractions, dividing a whole number by a fraction, dividing a fraction by a whole number, and dividing a fraction by a fraction. Students completed the Dividing with Fractions Quiz. They then had a little bit of time to work on Math Facts in a Flash or Math homework questions for me.

**Thursday, 10/12**

Students received their graded Division with Fractions Quiz. We went over each problem while students took notes on only the ones they missed.

We had a lesson on integers and how to plot them on a number line. Then we practiced a few problems together.

We completed a warm up in Google Classroom. We then had a lesson on Absolute Value and took notes in our notebooks. We then practiced a few problems.

We then went over each problem together; the students wrote down and showed work for their missed problems.

We then looked at last Friday's independent assignment and discovered that we need to continue working on comparing 2 decimals, ordering 3 decimals, and adding/subtracting decimals (out to the hundredths place).
